Chris McNeil Jr., Board Chairperson of the Nisga’a ̱ Growth Corporation (NGC) Board of Directors, is pleased to announce that after an extensive search for an inaugural CEO for the NGC, the board has unanimously selected Arthur Mercer (Simoogit Galga) as CEO. Mr. Mercer will begin his term as CEO on May 15, 2023.

In this highly competitive market for talented and experienced employees, the NGC Board worked with recruitment firm Leaders International to cast a wide net across Canada for potential candidates for the role. The NGC received applications from very highly skilled individuals with experience working for Indigenous Nations or their economic enterprises. The recruitment process was thorough, professional, and objective, and the resulting successful candidate is the result of a process that brought together highly talented individuals to compete for the CEO role.
